CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST


I am a Pakistan-based clinical psychotherapist, trainer, facilitator, and researcher.

I have a doctorate from the University of Melbourne, Australia and have over 25 years of experience – in both Pakistan and Australia – of:

  • working with diverse individuals, groups, and professionals and

  • training, facilitation, and research.


Clinical practice

I offer online sessions to adults and older adolescents (16+) in Pakistan or those of Pakistani (or other South Asian) origin living overseas.I use a range of therapeutic approaches to support clients with concerns such as:

  • Experiences of abuse (including childhood abuse) and violence

  • Trauma

  • Depression and Anxiety

  • Relationship difficulties (families/couples)

  • Gender or sexuality related issues


Training and research

I conduct training, group facilitation, and research in the following areas:

  • Gender sensitisation and Gender-Based Violence (especially domestic violence, sexual assault/rape, and child sexual abuse)

  • Trauma

  • Post disaster psycho-social support

  • Emotional health and wellbeing

  • Stress management

  • LSBE (Life Skills Based Education)
